Managing Master Package Ratios

The Master Package Definition grid displays the package ratios available for an item.

Master Package

The Master Package specifies the type of the item packaging. This list contains different sorts of packages where you store your inventory – for example, cartons, lots, and pallets. The package type is a reference-only list. It is not used in any calculations, but it indicates how items are packaged when they are received and shipped.

A new package type can be created by double-clicking on the Pencil icon or pressing Alt+Enter.

A new window allows the user to add, edit or remove different package types from the drop-down list.

To add a new package type, click Add. Enter the package type in the text field of the window that will appear.

To edit a package type, click Edit. Modify the package type in the text field of a new window.

To remove a package type, select it and click Remove. Click Yes to confirm or click No to cancel the deletion of the item.
